Nakayu Sake Brewery is located in Kami-machi, a town which is adjacent to the midstream area of Narusegawa River flowing through the Osaki plain in the northern part of Miyagi prefecture.
Viewing Mt. Funagata to the west, a rural landscape graced with nature spreads before you. Although it is a small sake brewery with an annual output of 400 koku (72 kl), it has been awarded the gold medal for 11 consecutive years at the Annual Japan Sake Awards, and has a high reputation for Ginjo sake.
This “Nigori” sake is a high grade cloudy sake with a well-balance of sweetness from the rice and acidity from the fermentation. Sake rice such as Hitomebore, as well as Sasanishiki produced in Miyagi prefecture are used.
