Takemoto Oil & Fat Co. Ltd is Japan's oldest active oil extraction company. Founded in 1725 by Chozaburo Takemoto in Aichi Prefecture, it is still owned by the founding family. For over 290 years, Takemoto has been producing hexane-free sesame oil to guarantee optimum quality and authentic taste.
Traditional extraction method, respectful of aromas and flavors, has remained unchanged since company was founded. Sesame seeds supply meets very strict standards, and only best origins in terms of organoleptic qualities and food safety are selected. Each batch is inspected, analyzed and cleaned of all foreign matter.
To make roasted sesame oils, seeds are roasted at low temperature. This operation is essential to give sesame oil its unique nutty taste. Sesame oil is extracted under pressure. This method takes time, but this is very important for oils process marketed under their flagship brand Maruhon.
It guarantees produced oil nutritional qualities, aromas, flavors, color and texture preservation.
