Houka Junmai Genshu Sake 17%
Ref : NISTOSHI5
Houka is a brand distributed exclusively to specialty sake shops that carry local sake brands and have strict temperature control and specialized knowledge.
Made from Nagano rice with a 70% polishing ratio, it is brewed using low-temperature fermentation techniques based on the brewers' unique data and the natural environment of Shinshu.
This sake is unique because it is brewed from Shirakaba Nishiki (kome koji) and Yoneshiro (kake mai) rice, both grown in Nagano and rarely used in sake production.
This sake has a rich aroma and a mild taste, unlike typical genshu. It has a full-bodied attack, with umami and sweetness spreading throughout the mouth, smooth and mellow.
Its stable aroma and elegant, mild taste fully express the rich flavor of the rice, offering a pleasant tasting experience.
This sake is not only delicious, but also reasonably priced, making it highly recommended by brewers.
This easy-to-drink sake is perfect for pairing with yakitori, braised pork (Buta No Kakuni), grilled oysters, grilled squid, grilled wagyu beef, and camembert cheese.
