Himenomochi sticky japanese rice is used for the famous mochi, the traditional rice dough Japanese pastry.
After kneading, rice takes the aspect of a very viscous paste. mochi accompany numerous recipes in Japan and are traditionally eaten to celebrate the New Year.
Our perfect combination : enjoy your mochi, as per your convenience, with kinako ( roasted soya powder) and liquid black sugar, sweet red bean paste, sesame seed powder and sugar, sweet soy sauce (for this roll them in a small nori leaf) or drop them into a vegetable soup.
