MIWATARI CONNECTION is a Junmai Ginjo sake designed to be aged in wine barrels.
Connection refers to the “connection” between brewed alcoholic beverages and the ‘connection’ between people through sake. It was named “CONNECTION” in the hope that these connections will grow even deeper.
This sake, aged in wine barrels used in cellars in Nagano Prefecture, offers a balance between the unique aroma of the wine barrels and a pleasant acidity.
Miwatari Connection Junmaishu sake has the aroma and rich, full body of Merlot wine produced in Nagano, aged in the same barrels.
You will enjoy the ripe apple and chamomile nose, a sweet and tangy delight. Best served chilled with ice cubes.
Pairs well with grilled meats, smoked fish and meats, and creamy pasta dishes.
“Miwatari” takes its name from the sacred ice formations that appear every winter on Lake Suwa. This sake, crafted with passion and expertise by the brewery's young brewers, showcases the terroir of Nagano, with a balance of umami, acidity, and a refreshing finish.
