To produce truly delicious miso, Konno Jyozo is one of the few brewers in Japan to take advantage of natural environment and grow raw materials, soy and rice, on its own vast farm.
By paying attention to every detail from raw material stage onwards, our artisan is now able to create miso with desired flavor. Until now, miso was mainly prepared by dissolving and boiling, or pickling and seasoning, giving whole dish a miso flavor.
With demand for miso growing worldwide, MISOLT was born out of search for a new item that would make it easy to add authentic miso umami and flavor to dishes from different countries.
Sendai miso is an aromatic and flavorful miso, known as Japan representative red miso. Normally, when reduced to powder, it loses its aroma, but to take advantage of its characteristics, our artisan Konno Jyozo has developed Authentic Sendai Miso KAMAGAMI, slowly matured over a long period.
This maturing process has resulted in its grinding into a fine powder, while retaining miso aroma and fresh flavor. MISOLT is a powder with fresh Sendai miso aroma and flavor. As a powder, it can be used in place of salt, sprinkled as a flavoring, to partially create miso flavor, and can also be used in sweets, desserts, bread, etc.
Misolt dehydrated miso can be used to season sushi, tempura, pizza, pasta, cheese cake, sashimi, yakitori, French toast, French fries, grilled meats, spice mixes, onigiri, carpaccio, risotto, toast with olive oil...
