Tonsui Dip Bowl for Sauce or Nabe or Fondue, Irobe Pattern
Ref : NISKATO116
A TonSui is used for individual portions of food from NABE (melted or Japanese potted) or as small bowl for tempura soaking sauce. Many Tonsui have a unique shape, with handles, but some do not have one. To hold a Tonsui, just pinch the button between the thumb and the opposite hand index that holds the cutlery and support it with the other fingers on the side.
The aesthetics in traditional Japanese cuisine has always played a vital role, and the choice of dishes is just as important as the ingredients. While many other kitchens prefer a united white canvas, Japanese leaders use plates, bowls, glasses, service utensils and chopsticks to improve and complete the food presentation.
