It is characterised by its immaculate whiteness and extremely fine grain, like icing sugar.
Katakuriko name refers to katakuri flower from which the powder was originally extracted.
Katakuriko is also exceptional for bringing a crispness to your fried fish, meat, tempura or karaage.
