Kagoshima Ichibancha green tea

Kagoshima Prefecture is renowned for its volcanic farmland, on which high quality teas are grown. Ichibancha tea leaves are the very first to be harvested in Kagoshima, at the end of March. These young shoots are reputed to be highly aromatic, with very herbaceous notes.
Tea leaves undergo prolonged steaming, which gives them a pronounced herbal flavor and a fresh aroma. When infused, tea takes on a dark green color. A perfect accompaniment to everyday meals and pastries.
Preparation: 10 cl water for 2g tea leaves (1 teaspoon) Water temperature: 80°C Infusion time: 1 minute
