Ponzu is a Japanese condiment sauce based on soy sauce and citrus juice.
Ponzu Pon de Dore is made with long green onions. Toyama Prefecture is renowned for its long green onions cultivation. When long green onions are harvested in winter, under the snow, their flavors are particularly concentrated.
Winter-harvested vegetables are known for their richness in free amino acids (for long spring onions, 547 mg / 100g, high concentration of alanine, glutamate, asparagine, serine, glutamine...) and their sweet taste.
Winter-harvested long green onions are called "Yuki-shita negi", which means "Japanese leek under the snow".
Pon de Dore ponzu is made with soy sauce, Toyama spring onions juice and kabosu citrus. Flavors are gourmet and fresh, with well-balanced acidity and powerful notes of spring onion.
Enjoy long green onions (grown in carefully selected fields) exquisite balance between sweetness and spiciness. Selected ingredients, made in Toyama Prefecture or Japan, are used. This ponzu is guaranteed to contain no preservatives, colorants or synthetic sweeteners.
