Wasabi paste with yuzu kosho
Ref : NISTV9
Shizuoka the first wasabi producing region in Japan, since the 16th century, thanks to its ideal growing conditions created by a combination of high rainfall and robust soils, characteristics that allow for an abundance of spring water all year round.
Additionally, wasabi grown in Shizuoka has exceptionally thick roots, giving it a high market value as well as a reputation as the highest quality wasabi in Japan, a fact that is reflected in its consistent presence in the top spot national competitive exhibitions every year. .
This wasabi paste is made from real Shizuoka wasabi, root, stem and leaf. Paste is rich in stem markings providing a delicious and crunchy side.
Our wasabi paste is much more powerful, more fragrant and better tasting than all other wasabi pastes on the market which are made from horseradish. Its color is natural, a pale green typical of the root or stems of wasabi.
Green yuzu peels and green hot chili peppers have been added to this preparation to give it the fresh and warm accents of Kosho yuzu, an emblematic condiment from southern Japan. This paste is particularly appreciated as a seasoning for roast beef, gyoza, steamed appetizers and oden (a type of Japanese stew). You will also enjoy it with grilled chicken, sausages…
