Blotting paper for fish and meat

This blotting paper is ubiquitous among butchers and fishmongers in Japan, both artisanal and wholesale. The surface of the film contains sea minerals which have a bacteriostatic effect, preventing discoloration (by reducing negative ions) and loss of consistency, and preserving food freshness and flavor.

This blotter also preserves a good level of brilliance in flesh. Excess exudate and moisture are absorbed through film's perforated holes to the non-woven surface, maintaining food surface at an appropriate moisture level.

This 100% paper pulp is hygienic and, of course, creped, so it's soft and peelable. This blotting paper is very strong and tear-resistant, even when wet! Smooth part is the one to be applied to flesh.

This blotting paper is recommended:

1. For fish, before preparation, for preservation, for preparation for freezing.

2. For fresh meat to improve preservation or prepare for maturing.
